Homeowner jailed for tackling burglar
A businessman who fought off knife-wielding thugs threatening to kill his family was jailed for 30 months yesterday.
Salem, one of the intruders, who has a string of 50 past convictions, was given a two-year supervision order at a court hearing in September this year. He is currently in custody awaiting trial for an alleged credit card fraud.

Swine Flu - The Lies Continue
Both Sky news and The Daily Mail have run stories over the past couple of days which are designed to encourage mothers to have their children vaccinated.
The Daily Mail, despite the growing evidence that it's a huge risk, has devoted a two page spread to promoting the jab.
Both are following the government advisers line of downplaying the dangers of the vaccine.
Many GP's who were previously against the jab have changed their tune after being handed a £27K bonus.
The facts are....
There are two companies supplying the vaccine which our GP's are about to inject into our chidren and are already giving to expectant mothers.
One is BAXTER INTERNATIONAL the other is GLAXO SMITH KLYNE.
In February this year Baxter sent out a "LIVE VIRUS" in its seasonal flu vaccines, it was only discovered by accident.
Experts in the industry claim this could not have happened by accident.
Just a few weeks later there was an outbreak of swine flu just 50 miles from Baxters lab in Mexico.
As for Glaxo, if you're wondering why there seems to be very little truth being published regarding the swine flu then read on..........

I had already made my mind up not to have the Swine Flu Jab before I read the posts at the links below.
I just felt that it hadn't been tested properly.

So it comes as a surprise that our government has signed a document that resolves the drug companies of any claims for compensation should patients suffer an adverse reaction to the swine flu vaccine.
If it is as safe as they say it is then why the need?
Baxter says it will provide a total of 80 million doses for 40 million people in five countries including the UK, Ireland and New Zealand.
The US will not take the Baxter-made vaccine as it has not received Food and Drug Administration approval.

While we're sitting in front of the TV our politicians are selling us out in return for yet more cash and power.
When are the people of this country going to wake up and smell the coffee?
The leaders of all the main parties, and their cronies, are Pro EU because they are the ones that reap the biggest rewards.

Killer Ex-Royal Aide Jane Andrews Back In Custody
"Before she was found, the brother of murdered Mr Cressman demanded Justice Secretary Jack Straw should consider resigning after Andrews' escape.
Rick Cressman, 58, said it was due to "complete and utter incompetence" in Mr Straw's department that Andrews managed to flee".
I couldn't agree more, so how about it Jack?
Kent Assistant Chief Constable Andy Adams said there was nothing to suggest Andrews, who was last seen at 7pm on Sunday, posed a threat to the public.

Election 2010: So what happens if nobody wins?
There is a very real possibility that there might not be a General Election next year.
The EU now has the power to close our parliament and take us over completely.
But what if there is?
It could produce the first hung parliament for a generation.
"Under the UK constitution, the party able to command the confidence of Parliament is invited to form the government. That does not necessarily mean the party with the most seats or votes. Even if he lost power, Gordon Brown would remain prime minister until he resigned".
There is only one sure answer, everybody must be persuaded to vote for an Independent. This is the only way to get us out of the EU once and for all and to get rid of the current bunch of bent, self serving politicians running this country into the ground.

Dear Mr Wyatt,
I am writing to you for your help as I am desperate. I am a 27 year old single mum with two boys aged 9 and 6 and have worked since I left school and recently through no fault of my own due to ill health lost my job. I have never had to claim housing benefit before so was not sure really of what I had to do.
The help and advice was non existant to be honest, I had to visit there and ask every detail of what I had to do as they just assume that you know what you are doing. I first applied on the 5th October and had my form returned in the post a week later requesting more ID etc. They require an original child benefit letter which you receive when you first have your child so my last letter 6 years ago. It took 3 weeks to wait for this letter and with the post strike 3 weeks for bank statements. After weeks of phoning and attending the office I have now been told I am entitled to £137 a week housing benefit and my rent is £685 a month leaving me a £140 a month short of my rent.
When I first moved back here after fleeing from domestic violence I was homeless and after having been to see the housing officer Marylin Harding I was getting no where. I found a job and a house in 10 days not from a job centre but off my own back and was advised by Marilyn that I was to look for a house for maximum £675 a month in case I ever needed housing benefit. I have been told because I do not have enough children I am only entitled to 137 a week. Enough children? no wonder people who claim housing benefit pump child after child out.
I suffered a miscarriage in september and my doctor has signed me off sick with anxiety and depression since. I am not asking for your simpathy i know this happens to lots of women , I just want you to understand the affect this is having on my mental state having to beg the housing for help and then being told to find £140 a month rent. I suffer severe anxiety attacks and attending the housing office is very stressful for me. I am now on antidepressants but this stress is too much for me , I can not cope any more. Also to be told I do not have enough children is slightly in sensitive to somebody who has had a miscarriage.
For the two weeks I claimed JSA before starting work I have never been paid as the day they wanted me to sign I started work and they would not let me sign at sittingbourne and told me to be at sheerness between 9 - 5pm which was my working hours and I do not drive so could not go in a lunchbreak. So they closed my claim.
I ask myself why do the governmnet make my life so hard? If we were immigrants my children would receive £25 a week pocket money to learn how to use the currency do you not think english children would benefit from having money and learning the value.
When I moved here I had no choice but to apply for a crisis loan for the first months rent and furniture. I was ashamed I had to do this and regret the fact that I bothered to do so. I applied for a cooker, a fridegfreezer and a washing machine and beds and something to sit on. I was given the first months rent which I was extremely grateful for but told £50 each would cover 3 beds and 3 mattresses. Where? in the local papers second hand ones arent that cheap! I was told I had no right to a cooker, fridgefreezer or washing machine as they werent essential to live with. What exactly is essential to live with then? I also had to borrow more money to provide my boys with a school uniform each as that is not an essential either.
Why do immigrants get there houses paid for and are provided with all domestic appliances? They have never worked here and paid there national insurance and tax like me so what have I done wrong to make the state hate me so much.
I explained to the council I could not find a house for £540 a month and the lady said no there is none! in the same breathe told me to move out and find a cheaper property!
My situation now is simple I have to find £140 amonth for my rent or be made homeless, which means my boys will be uprooted again and will have to leave another school and we get to live in a dirty hostel in margate. So please help.
When you are at home tonight and you get yourself a cold drink from your fridge to have with your dinner that was cooked in your cooker and you sit in your clothes that were washed in your washing machine at a nice table before going off to your nice warm bed please think of this.
I take my washing over to my mums on sheppey (thank god for my mum because I could not afford a launderette.). I have to keep milk in my garden. My children have to live on microwaved food which they eat on the floor as we have no furniture. And when your stretching out in your bed tonight please think of me asleep on the floor unable to sleep through stress.
My question to you is please could you ask the government if I use my benfit to pay
1. The rent
2. The gas
3. The water
4. The electricity
5. Food for my children
When they have decided whats more important for me to pay please let me know asap and I would like to thank the government for providing my children with an awful christmas ( especially after what they have been through) and to praise them for all the mosques they will continue to build and the wonderful islamic cultural centre in sittingbourne next to the catholic church(nice). Also for giving all council houses and rent payments to immigrants and £100 a month pocket money to there children which ironicaly enough would nearly pay my rent! I have worked in schools for the last 3 years and see how much is spent on foreign children with translators from SENCO and they get there uniforms paid for!
I owe my children such an apology for making them in England and for not having at least 5 of them.

Dear Mr Wyatt,
I am writing to you for your help as I am desperate. I am a 27 year old single mum with two boys aged 9 and 6 and have worked since I left school and recently through no fault of my own due to ill health lost my job. I have never had to claim housing benefit before so was not sure really of what I had to do.
The help and advice was non existant to be honest, I had to visit there and ask every detail of what I had to do as they just assume that you know what you are doing. I first applied on the 5th October and had my form returned in the post a week later requesting more ID etc. They require an original child benefit letter which you receive when you first have your child so my last letter 6 years ago. It took 3 weeks to wait for this letter and with the post strike 3 weeks for bank statements. After weeks of phoning and attending the office I have now been told I am entitled to £137 a week housing benefit and my rent is £685 a month leaving me a £140 a month short of my rent.
When I first moved back here after fleeing from domestic violence I was homeless and after having been to see the housing officer Marylin Harding I was getting no where. I found a job and a house in 10 days not from a job centre but off my own back and was advised by Marilyn that I was to look for a house for maximum £675 a month in case I ever needed housing benefit. I have been told because I do not have enough children I am only entitled to 137 a week. Enough children? no wonder people who claim housing benefit pump child after child out.
I suffered a miscarriage in september and my doctor has signed me off sick with anxiety and depression since. I am not asking for your simpathy i know this happens to lots of women , I just want you to understand the affect this is having on my mental state having to beg the housing for help and then being told to find £140 a month rent. I suffer severe anxiety attacks and attending the housing office is very stressful for me. I am now on antidepressants but this stress is too much for me , I can not cope any more. Also to be told I do not have enough children is slightly in sensitive to somebody who has had a miscarriage.
For the two weeks I claimed JSA before starting work I have never been paid as the day they wanted me to sign I started work and they would not let me sign at sittingbourne and told me to be at sheerness between 9 - 5pm which was my working hours and I do not drive so could not go in a lunchbreak. So they closed my claim.
I ask myself why do the governmnet make my life so hard? If we were immigrants my children would receive £25 a week pocket money to learn how to use the currency do you not think english children would benefit from having money and learning the value.
When I moved here I had no choice but to apply for a crisis loan for the first months rent and furniture. I was ashamed I had to do this and regret the fact that I bothered to do so. I applied for a cooker, a fridegfreezer and a washing machine and beds and something to sit on. I was given the first months rent which I was extremely grateful for but told £50 each would cover 3 beds and 3 mattresses. Where? in the local papers second hand ones arent that cheap! I was told I had no right to a cooker, fridgefreezer or washing machine as they werent essential to live with. What exactly is essential to live with then? I also had to borrow more money to provide my boys with a school uniform each as that is not an essential either.
Why do immigrants get there houses paid for and are provided with all domestic appliances? They have never worked here and paid there national insurance and tax like me so what have I done wrong to make the state hate me so much.
I explained to the council I could not find a house for £540 a month and the lady said no there is none! in the same breathe told me to move out and find a cheaper property!
My situation now is simple I have to find £140 amonth for my rent or be made homeless, which means my boys will be uprooted again and will have to leave another school and we get to live in a dirty hostel in margate. So please help.
When you are at home tonight and you get yourself a cold drink from your fridge to have with your dinner that was cooked in your cooker and you sit in your clothes that were washed in your washing machine at a nice table before going off to your nice warm bed please think of this.
I take my washing over to my mums on sheppey (thank god for my mum because I could not afford a launderette.). I have to keep milk in my garden. My children have to live on microwaved food which they eat on the floor as we have no furniture. And when your stretching out in your bed tonight please think of me asleep on the floor unable to sleep through stress.
My question to you is please could you ask the government if I use my benfit to pay
1. The rent
2. The gas
3. The water
4. The electricity
5. Food for my children
When they have decided whats more important for me to pay please let me know asap and I would like to thank the government for providing my children with an awful christmas ( especially after what they have been through) and to praise them for all the mosques they will continue to build and the wonderful islamic cultural centre in sittingbourne next to the catholic church(nice). Also for giving all council houses and rent payments to immigrants and £100 a month pocket money to there children which ironicaly enough would nearly pay my rent! I have worked in schools for the last 3 years and see how much is spent on foreign children with translators from SENCO and they get there uniforms paid for!
I owe my children such an apology for making them in England and for not having at least 5 of them.

Johnson: We Need a Debate on Migration

Brown Blunder Over Fallen Soldier's Name

Well, well, what a surprise.
"SWEEPING reforms to clean up MPs' expenses will be BINNED by the man brought in to police new rules.
Prof Sir Ian Kennedy is ready to tear up the proposals just THREE DAYS after they were unveiled".

There was a very simple way of dealing with the expenses scandal.
Every MP that had abused the system should have been forced to pay back every penny.
But that would have been too easy.
The government needed a sideshow to keep the electorate occupied while they continue the Common Purpose agenda.
And that's exactly what we got, a sideshow followed by a whitewash.
The main offenders like Jacqui Smith have not only escaped justice but got to keep the cash as well.
At the same time others have been asked to pay back paltry sums, no doubt in an effort to appease the electorate.
It's the same old same old from a bunch of politicians who no longer have the interests of the people or even the country at heart.
They have had their noses stuck firmly in the trough for far too long.
Greed and personal ambition are clearly the main priority for the vast majority.
Our country is being run by a bunch of Arther Dayley's, is it any wonder we're in a mess?

Violent Thugs Given Cautions
At the same time Jack Straw announces that 30 magistrates courts are to close because they are half empty a Panorama Investigation has shown evidence that many violent criminals are being let off with a slap on the wrist.

Yet more proof that crime hasn't gone down at all, it's on the increase as we all know only too well.
We didn't need Panorama to tell us this.

"Student Dean Martin was gouged in the face with a bottle in a pub toilet. He said: "I nearly fainted at the amount of blood I was losing."
"The unprovoked attack left him needing 24 stitches - yet it was dealt with by a caution".
"Assistant Chief Constable Chris Weigh, of the Association of Chief Police Officers, denied cautions were "a soft option", saying: "They are recorded on a criminal record."
Chris Weigh should be sacked immediately if this is his idea of good policing.
Figures obtained by shadow police spokesman David Ruffley show that, between 2000 and 2008, an astonishing 2.2million people have received police cautions
Of these, 550,000 have received repeat cautions - including 51,874 people who have received four or more slaps upon the wrist.
The number of criminals receiving two cautions in a single year has increased by 60 per cent, from 21,842 in 2000 to 34,785 in 2008, while the number getting three cautions in a single year has increased by 45 per cent, from 3,934 to 5,714.
Most worryingly, the number receiving four or more cautions in a single year has increased by 21 per cent, from 2,480 to 3,013.
Over the eight years, 23,588 people have received four or more cautions in a single year. Some 104,915 have received three cautions and 397,458 have received two cautions

BNP on Question Time
I spent most of the day following this show watching various news channels including Sky News and it came as no surprise to me that support for the BNP has increased following the show.
The whole show was devoted to attacking the BNP and Nick Griffin.
Question Time was not the place for it, this should be left to other programmes such as Panorama.

While Nick Griffin would have to put a gun to my head to make me vote BNP the undeniable truth is that he is prepared to speak up on issues that the other parties would rather ignore.
In my view Jack Straw came off worse following this show.
Immigration affects us all (and that includes those of mixed race who were born in this country) and it's clearly out of control.
If the BNP were not a rascist organisation they would be attracting large numbers of new members this week.
In a poll today a fifth of those polled stated they would now "Seriously Consider" joining the BNP.
Clearly the main reason for this is the current immigration situation.
It's not just the huge numbers of both legal and illegal immigrants that is causing the unrest which in my view is about to explode into violence.
It's the preferential treatment given to them by many councils at the expense of those born here.
Many have criminal convictions and continue to commit crimes in this country yet are allowed to remain here.
Our prisons are full of them yet no real action has been taken to solve this problem.
My step-daughter who has two children to support became unemployed a few weeks ago due to health problems yet is still waiting for her benefits to be paid.
She is unable to pay her rent which is causing problems with her landlady.
As a result of all the stress she recently suffered a miscarriage.
At the same time Asylum Seekers are being given pocket money despite already being fed and housed.

I moved to this area a few years ago following redundancy and spent the first four years here out of work,
At the same time local companies were employing large numbers of foreign workers.
I get sick of hearing politicians and businessmen on TV telling us that the immigrants are needed to fill those jobs that we are not willing to do.
This is total nonsense and it's insulting to those struggling to find work.

Gordon Brown Tough on Crime!
This is a genuine complaint to Devon & Cornwall Police Force from an angry member of the public.
A true email sent to the force, lengthy but brilliantly written.....
Dear Sir/Madam/Automated telephone answering service,
Having spent the past twenty minutes waiting for someone at Bodmin police station to pick up a telephone I have decided to abandon the idea and try e-mailing you instead.
Perhaps you would be so kind as to pass this message on to your colleagues in Bodmin, by means of smoke signal, carrier pigeon or Ouija board.
As I'm writing this e-mail there are eleven failed medical experiments (I think you call them youths) in St Mary's Crescent, which is just off St Mary's Road in Bodmin.
Six of them seem happy enough to play a game which involves kicking a football against an iron gate with the force of a meteorite. This causes an earth shattering CLANG! which rings throughout the entire building. This game is now in its third week and as I am unsure how the scoring system works, I have no idea if it will end any time soon.
The remaining five failed-abortions are happily rummaging through several bags of rubbish and items of furniture that someone has so thoughtfully dumped beside the wheelie bins. One of them has found a saw and is setting about a discarded chair like a beaver on ecstasy pills. I fear that it's only a matter of time before they turn their limited attention to the caravan gas bottle that is lying on its side between the two bins. If they could be relied on to only blow their own arms and legs off then I would happily leave them to it. I would even go so far as to lend them the matches. Unfortunately they are far more likely to blow up half the street with them and I've just finished decorating the kitchen.
What I suggest is this - after replying to this e-mail with worthless assurances that the matter is being looked into and will be dealt with, why not leave it until the one night of the year (probably bath night) when there are no mutants around then drive up the street in a Panda car before doing a three point turn and disappearing again. This will of course serve no other purpose than to remind us what policemen actually look like. I trust that when I take a claw hammer to the skull of one of these throwbacks you'll do me the same courtesy of giving me a four month head start before coming to arrest me. Secondly I was delighted to hear that our street has its own Community Beat Officer. May I be the first to congratulate you on your covert skills? In the five or so years I have lived in St Mary's Crescent , I have never seen you. Do you hide up a tree or have you gone deep undercover and infiltrated the gang itself? The pitch on Fairpark Road , or the one at Priory Park are both within spitting distance as is the bottom of the Par Dock, the latter being the preferred option especially if the tide is in. MRSA Connected to Iraq War?
Prior to the Gulf War MRSA was practically unheard of in the UK.
There was a steady rise in cases of MRSA following the Gulf War and a huge increase in cases following the Iraq war.
Here are the tables showing this to be true.

Following the attempt by an Iraqi doctor to turn himself into a human fireball at Glasgow airport a few years ago the PM promised a detailed report on the numbers of Iraqi doctors and nurses working in the NHS.
As far as I'm aware this report never happened.
Why?

Anti Social Behaviour
Following the suicide of Fiona Pilkington our beloved PM today announced his latest plan to rid us of this problem.
He is going to stop the payment of benefits to the parents of those responsible.
Sure Mr Brown, I can really see how that's going to work.
The answer to anti social behaviour is really easy Mr Brown.
Lock them up for a few weeks after a good clip around the ear.
If they'd done this in Leicester Mrs Pilkington would still be alive.

War in Afghanistan

The Farce Continues
If we needed further proof that our MP's have completely lost touch with the rest of us then we need wait no longer.
In a secret ballot they have just appointed John Bercow as the New Speaker.
John Bercow is one of those who was exposed for his outrageous expenses claims.

MP's Expenses Published
Once again Gordon brown has shown himself to be untrustworthy.
The government has published a list of MP's expenses going back the past four years but has blacked out all the information that proves MP's have "misbehaved".
So if The Telegraph hadn't exposed the scandal we would never have known about it.

After announcing that the enquiry would be carried out in private Gordon Brown has once again performed a U Turn following a public outcry.

Labour Party in Tatters
Having been unable to work for a few months now I have had the "privilege" of watching the Labour Party flush itself down the toilet hour by hour, day by day.
I've watched a succession of politicians putting forward their views on why Labour did so badly in the recent elections but, in my view, not one of them got it right.
The majority blamed the expenses fiasco but if this was it then why did the Tories do so well?
Tory MP's have been implicated in the expenses scandal , so too have Lib Dems.
The low turnout was the reason given for the unexpected rise of the BNP.
If this is true then how come the BNP vote increased considerably from last time?
Based on my own thoughts and from discussions with friends and family I believe the reasons for Labour's decline are as follows...
Gordon Brown...
In my opinion Labour will never win another election with Gordon Brown as the leader whatever happens in the next few months.
He should have resigned as soon as the recent election results were known.
He was not elected to the position of Prime Minister and in my view he has never had the support of the English public.
And despite his promise that politics will be more transparent under his leadership we've just learned that the Iraq enquiry will not be made public.
He has shown himself to be untrustworthy, weak and indecisive.
Global Recession..
Yes we know there's a global recession, we're all sick of hearing it.
What we want to know is why we're in a worse position than virtually every other country in the
European Union.
Immigration..
Not one of the major parties will address this issue and this is why people are turning to the BNP. Unless somebody really gets to grips with this problem the BNP will only get stronger.
For a large number of people it's already too late, the damage has already been done.
We need to get tough on asylum seekers, at present they get far better treatment than our own homeless.
Immigrants in jail should be deported, whether illegal or not.
If they can't obey our laws they should not be allowed to stay here.
Illegal immigrants with no identification should be kept in detention until they produce ID, not released back into the community as they are at present.
Needless to say most of them simply disappear.
Crime..
No matter how the government massages the figures we all know that violent crime is on the increase. We witness it ourselves every day.
Sentences are too short, prisoners are generally released halfway through their sentences and our prisons have become holday camps.
The Sonnex case in particular highlights the problems with our justice system and, despite Jack Straw claiming this was an isolated incident, this is not the case.

It's the PM's reaction that put the last nail in Labours coffin.
While the PM was dithering and promising that the problem "would be looked into" David Cameron took decisive action.
The committee that was set up by the PM has just cleared Shahid Malik of any wrongdoing claiming he acted within the rules regarding his expenses claims.
