GOVERNMENT CARES MORE ABOUT SOMALI PIRATES THAN BRITISH HOSTAGES

"THE moral decline of Britain now extends to our once great armed services. Our maritime force used to be the finest in the world, renowned for its boldness and determination.

Nothing exemplifies this spirit of impotence more clearly than the Somali kidnap saga, in which Paul and Rachel Chandler, from Kent, were seized by a gang of pirates in October while sailing off the East African coast. The Navy used to blow pirates out of the water.

A Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessel, the Wave Knight, was at the scene of the crime and sailors on board witnessed the transfer of the Chandlers from their yacht on to the pirates’ ship".

UPDATE 09/12

It has now been revealed that the decision not to intervene in the kidnap of this couple was taken by none other than Bob Ainsworth.
And despite a deal being made for the release of the hostages for £100K the UK government has stepped in and prevented the deal going ahead.

Nobody has asked the government to donate to the ransom, what possible reason could they have for blocking the deal?
